Mission Statement

Our Mission and Commitment

Since its founding in 1990, the AQRP believes that anyone living with a mental health problem must be able to live and realize himself as a full citizen. The Association’s vision is to lead the way in improving psychosocial rehabilitation and mental health recovery practices through:

  • innovation,
  • mobilisation,
  • surpassing one’s self individually and socially

Consequently, the AQRP’s mission is to bring together all those involved in psychosocial rehabilitation and mental health recovery in order to promote and update their values, principles and practices. In order to carry out this mission, the AQRP proposes:

An enriching social life;     Mobilizing projects resulting from the concerns of individuals and circles;     A hub for training, research and reference in psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery, including activities:         Training and support;         Knowledge transfer;         Participatory research.

A true crossroads of information and action

Through its role as a convener, the Association is a forum of choice on the Quebec and international scene, facilitating consultation between people from all disciplines and sectors of intervention in mental health, public and community networks, and people living or having lived with a mental health problem and their loved ones.
